Stewards Decision: GES Sebring 12 Hours

Posted on 4 February 2023

Lap 305 incident between cars #21 and #87: No Further Action

Explanation:
Car #87 reported car #21 causing a collision while going around the outside of car #87 through Sunset. However, the Stewards deem that car #87 drifted wide, thus initiating the contact. Because it is an Orange Zone and the faster car has to ensure the overtake is safe and must avoid contact at all costs, it is a matter of both cars could have done more to avoid the collision. Therefore, it is deemed a racing incident.

The full decision document will be made available to the team managers after the race.
