Last night, we made the decision to postpone round 2 of the Virtual Porsche Carrera Cup, which was supposed to take place at Buriram. The reason was that, out of 28 expected drivers (already excluding 8 drivers who notified us of their absence), only 13 drivers showed up. The server costs are simply too high to keep a server up all-night for 13 drivers. Today, we have decided to cancel the round instead of postponing it to a later date. That means the series now counts 5 rounds instead of 6.
The fate of the series as a whole depends on the turn-out we get next Wednesday at Zandvoort. We need at least 20 drivers to make the costs worthwhile, but most of all we need the participants to communicate. If you can’t join a race, that’s fine but let us know.
