30-second Time Penalty for car #89

Offense: Causing a collision
Lap Number: 129
Offending Driver: Thibaut Lenertz

Explanation:
Car #89 tried to overtake car #87 around the outside of turn 14, failed to leave enough room for the slower class car and caused contact that spun the #87.

Because it’s the responsibility of the faster class car to make sure the overtake is safe, this is deemed the fault of car #89. Not reckless, but avoidable minor contact, so the equivalent of a drivethrough penalty.

The full decision document will be made available to the team managers after the race.
